'Have you any work for me, sor?' inquired Micky Cassidy of the foreman.

'You can help that gang in the trench over there.'

Over went Cassidy to the trench and jumped in, falling 15 feet.

'Why didn't you use the ladder?' shouted the boss.

'I thought they were for going up!' cried Micky.
