Charlie Xia is a photographer based in Shanghai specializing in architecture, portraiture, plus event pictures. Having travelled extensively in his youth and residing in places like Germany, the USA and UK, he began photography after returning to China 5 years ago. Charlie began freelance photography as a part time job, and then became a fulltime freelance photographer in 2005 (his first exhibition was shown in Berlin in 2004). Charlie had it's first solo exhibition at the beginning of 2007.
Coca Dai is a local photographer who graduated from the art college of the Shanghai University in 1999. He has recently participated in exhibitions such as "Catch Rock in High" (Shanghai's first rock photo exhibition in April '06); "Nighttime Snack" (Shanghai modern art exhibition in Nov '04); "Under the Insurrection of DV"(multimedia exhibition in '03); and "8 hours on the Greatwall" (multimedia exhibition,in Dec '02), and more. Mathias Guillin, is a French photographer who celebrated his first year in Shanghai at the end of August 2006, drawn to Shanghai because of it's changes and rapid development, and of course the great opportunities that seemed to bewaiting for those willing to work at it. This former Unilever Marketing Manager quit the rate race in 2005 to pursue his passion in photography. When he's not chasing kids around in his family photography studio, he's covering events for local and international publications such as El Mundo or Newsweek Select.
Don Yap's psychology and art degrees have trained him to instinctively capture magic moments as they unfold. His two-year stint at Ogilvy & Mather have further honed his creativity. In his spare time, this Filipino brushes up on his Mandarin skills. Although he still encounters a language barrier in China, Don believes that visual poetry is universal.
