The Biggest Liar

A Kerryman was charged with murder and was sent for trial by jury. To everyone's surprise he pleaded guilty. Nevertheless the jury returned a verdict of 'not guilty'.
'How on earth have you reached a verdict like that?' asked the judge, 'the man pleaded guilty'.
'You don't know him like we do, your honour', said the foreman of the jury. 'He's the biggest liar in the country and you can't believe a word out of his mouth'.
