The Big Dig
The farmer was at his wits' end. He just could not get any men to dig his large
garden for him and he was too busy ploughing the land himself. His wife kept nagging
him about the garden and suddenly he got a bright idea. He wrote a letter to a
well known subversive telling him that the guns were safely buried in his garden.
He put his faith in censorship and sure enough, his garden was well and truly
dug by a squad of hefty Gardai a few days later.
