Learning Golf

The farmer, an inter-county hurler of note, was prevailed upon by his guest to join him in a game of golf. The farmer had never played golf before but when the guest told him to drive his first shot from the tee right down the fairway he made quite a good attempt at it. When he was told to chip the next shot onto the green, he managed that too. Walking up to the green the farmer asked the guest: 'What do I do now?'
'You have to get it into that little hole,' said the guest.
'And why didn't you tell me that back at the tee?' replied the farmer.
