Up Or Down

Two Corkmen set up a furniture removal company. One afternoon they spent over an hour attempting to move a wardrobe, which was wedged in a narrow stairway.
'It's no use', said the first Corkman, 'we'll never get it upstairs'.
'Upstairs?' said the second Corkman, 'I thought we were trying to get it downstairs'.
