The Interview
An Englishman, an Irishman and a Scotsman were being interviewed for a job
as head of The Government Information Services. Each was asked The question 'What
is two plus two?'
The Englishman answered 'four*. He didn't get The job because The interview board
felt he was too blunt and tactless.
The Scotsman answered 'usually four'. He didn't get The job because The interview
board felt he was too indecisive.
It was The Irishman who got The job. He said to The board 'What would you like
The answer to be?'
